I ordered the 25lb single dumbbell, and I'm very pleased with this purchase. I received it in the original CAP company box which was reinforced for the weight of it. Everything inside was brand new and individually wrapped. It was a good price considering every Academy, Walmart, and other various sporting goods stores in my city have been sold out completely of dumbbells / weights for months due to the pandemic. Other people online are selling nonadjustable weights at outrageous prices, so considering the times and the fact that I can change the weight up – I'm happy. Plus shipping said that it'll be delivered in two to three weeks, but I got it in 2 days via FedEx so that was just perfect.

    Seems pretty good quality, comes with some kind of rubber suction washers on the screw-on clamps but they still seem to loosen up a bit no matter what. That seems to happen on all screw-on clamps and the squeeze clamps budge way less though I prefer the screw-on ones. Don't really like that they advertise the bar weight in the total weight, seems kind of deceptive making you think you're getting a good price/weight deal but not that big of a deal. For example I got the 25Lb set and it comes with two 7.5Lb plates and two 3Lb plates which adds up to 21Lb weight in plates and I'm assuming the remainder 4Lbs is from the bar.

    These are solid weights for home use, but they are not cleaned well before shipment. I’ve been stabbed in the hand twice by pieces of metal that have flaked off while performing exercises and taking the plates on and off. Luckily I was able to pull the metal “splinters” out with tweezers, but they need to be better inspected for safety and quality before someone gets really hurt.

    I bought two of the 25lb ones. They're weights, so they really have two jobs – weighing what it says on the package and being safe to use. The weight seems right. However, I constantly have issues with the nut used to tighten the weight plates onto the handle. It will unscrew itself during a workout no matter how tight I screw it on, leading to the weights vibrating and at worst coming off. The rubber gaskets on the nuts seem very flimsy, which is probably the problem as I have another pair of the same style of weights from another manufacturer and I don't have this issue with them… Would recommend buying a different set.

    The diameter of these handles are closer to 3/4", than 1". What that means from a practical standpoint is that the handles are smaller in your hand and standard 1" weights don't fit as well. You really need to tighten them down to eliminate the shifting of the weights under use.
